AR, VR and GIS
Augmented and virtual reality, and GIS data collection with the mapping built into your software.
Augmented reality, virtual reality and geographic information systems, for organisations whose work is about a place as much as a process.
We collect spatial data in the field, clean it, and put it where it is useful: on a map inside the software your team already runs, or on a dashboard somebody watches. Where a licensed platform of the ESRI kind is the right answer, we deploy, license and support it.
We build AR and VR where seeing the thing beats reading about it: overlays for inspection and field work, immersive training, and walkthroughs of buildings and equipment before either exists.

What is included.
The work this service is scoped around. Anything outside it is agreed in writing before we start.
GIS data collection
Field survey, GPS traces and address data captured, cleaned and loaded into a system you own.
GIS inside your software
Maps, layers and spatial search built into the applications your team already uses.
ESRI class GIS platforms
Licensing, deployment and support for GIS systems of the kind ESRI builds.
Spatial data integration
Map data brought together with your ERP, CRM and field systems, and kept in step.
Augmented reality applications
Overlays on the physical world for inspection, field work, training and retail.
Virtual reality experiences
Immersive training and walkthroughs of sites, buildings and equipment.
Operational maps and dashboards
Live views of assets, coverage and movement for the people who act on them.
Training and handover
Your staff taught to keep the maps and the data current without us.
Scope it, price it, decide.
Tell us what you are trying to do. We come back with the options, what each one costs and the order we would do the work in.

Where this is used.
Work that is easier to do when the map is in front of you, or when the thing itself is.
Land and property records
Parcels, holdings and boundaries held as data rather than as drawings in a cabinet.
Utilities and networks
Lines, poles, pipes and coverage drawn where they actually run, and kept current.
Field operations
Crews sent to the right place with the record, the history and the form on a phone.
Inspection and maintenance
AR overlays that put the drawing, the fault history or the next step over the asset itself.
Training and simulation
VR for procedures and equipment that are expensive, dangerous or impossible to rehearse on.
Planning and visibility
Dashboards that show coverage, progress and exceptions on a map the whole team reads.
How a project runs.
The data comes first. Everything else is drawn on top of it, so it is worth getting right before anything is built.
- Scoping
- What decision the map is meant to support, who acts on it, and what it has to show to be worth having.
- Data
- What you already hold, read and assessed: shapefiles, CAD, spreadsheets, survey sheets or a live database.
- Collection
- Field work where the record is missing or wrong, with what is captured cleaned and checked before it is loaded.
- Build
- The platform, the software it sits inside, and the AR or VR layer where one earns its place.
- Handover
- Your staff trained on the system, with the data model and the procedures written down.
Questions we are asked.
Can you work with the GIS data we already have?
Yes. We start by reading what you hold, whether that is shapefiles, CAD drawings, spreadsheets or a live database, and tell you what is usable before anything is rebuilt.
Do we have to buy an ESRI licence?
Only if it is the right answer for the work. Where a licensed platform earns its cost we will say so and help with the licence; where an open stack does the job, we will say that instead.
Does AR or VR need special hardware?
It depends on where it is used. Much of what used to need a headset now runs on a phone or in a browser, and we will show you what fits before you buy anything.
Also under Engineering.
Tell us what you need to build, protect or automate.
A 30 minute call with an engineer, not a sales script. You leave with a clear next step, whether or not we work together.
